Same here, if we can see the hidden Bardon agenda then I hope to feck the board can. But then again are they looking out for the clubs future or their own investments?MM, no debate as far as I'm concerned
I'm not as sceptical as you BG, there may well be a hidden agenda but I don't know about it.Same here, if we can see the hidden Bardon agenda then I hope to feck the board can. But then again are they looking out for the clubs future or their own investments?
We don't know MMs intentions when he has made his inital outlay. It may well be that he has realised once the intial takeover is complete he will then need to dip into his pocket again to assist in the running of the business for a while (ie wages, transfer fees etc) or has MM stated that what he is putting in his is lot and no moreMy impression is that the MM bid is simply to buy the company for something around £5million and then offer to lend LCFC up to £20 million as and when needed.
For a company like Bardon, that doesn't make sense. Buying out the existing shareholders and putting more money in through additional equity is, I believe, more efficient.
i'd rather have someone who has previously run a football club and has been rather successful at doing it
Who is giving up their own money here? And who is gambling on amking a fortune?
The shareholders may well get back what they paid.
If they get less than they put in then all their efforts will have been purely to support the club and any loss they take on their shares will have been effectively a "gift" to the club.
If they get back what they put in they will have lost the interest on their money - a £500k injection will have lost them around £30k interest a year. If they get more than they put in then it has to be more than the interest they have lost before they make a real profit.
So lets not go on about how tight they are. Some of the smaller investors may well have taken loans on businesses and houses to fund their shareholding. Not something I was prepared to do - were you willing to take a £100,000 mortgage on your house to save the City? So I think we need to give them some credit here!
As for MM - press reports of a £25m injection may be wide of the mark. If he pays the shareholders, and takes over the loan payments for the stadium and puts in £4m for transfers - that could be £15m upfront. The fact that City don't have any other massive debts other than the stadium debt makes them VERY attractive.
So why are other groups interested. BECAUSE IT IS WORTH A PUNT.
For an initial outlay of £15m, if City get promoted they will get at least £25m a season in the new prem deal plus 2 parachute payments of £18m. So one season in the prem will buy the stadium (£15m) pay off any costs to buy out the shareholders (£6m) and still leave a balance of a minimum of around £20m to play with.
Of course I could be wrong and the above could be a load of b@£$ocks.

I was talking to some Yank, he reckons Bill Gates and Donald Trump are the two rumoured American parties.
I want to change my vote to:
I don't know, we are not a position to know, it seems that there are too many people in all the camps that can't conduct themselves in a professional and proper manner.
This whole situation is pissing me off so much that I'd be happy to carry on as we are and hope RK can get us promoted within the next 2 seasons. It's not an unreal prospect
Did the yank just think of the 2 most famous American businessmen off the top of his head?
