i peg to Bardon
i never said it was a rose garden

They would have to go 50/50, where are either of them pair gonna get this sort of money from :icon_winkI was talking to some Yank, he reckons Bill Gates and Donald Trump are the two rumoured American parties.
I believe if Bardon are interested then its more sinister than a simple takeover. They will merge us with the Tigers and have us sharing grounds at the earliest opportunity, selling off the redundant ground for developing. Easily recouping their original outlay.
Also MM's bid if its true doesn't seem that great. Although any potential 'investor' is doing just that. Investing their money speculatively to make more money. Leicester doesn't have a rich sugar daddy that will invest millions without wanting a ROI.
I want to change my vote to:
I don't know, we are not a position to know, it seems that there are too many people in all the camps that can't conduct themselves in a professional and proper manner.
This whole situation is pissing me off so much that I'd be happy to carry on as we are and hope RK can get us promoted within the next 2 seasons. It's not an unreal prospect
Then it's still MM, because any information we may have read, I haven't got a fecking clue if it's true or bullshitI did say it was to be based on what has been leaked out so far, of course to make an accurate call you would need to see all the offers down in front of you, we dont have this luxury.....

Never in a million is it gonna happen BG, it has been pointed out now on a number of occasions that MM will buy out the current board that are doing a superb job, loan £20mill to the club. He will then sit back, watch his £20 mill wasted, try to sell the club to somebody who will obviously buy a club that's £20mill in debt to a private individual as they are all lining up to buy us when we aren't even that much in debt nowgood points Drew and well put.
As you say any investor puts money up to gain money. I would love MM to come here put his cash up and later sell us and walk off with millions and millions, because that would mean we would be a successful club and the person who buys off him would want to take us further......

He will then demand the £20mill back, we haven't got it, we'll go bankrupt, and MM will £20mill worse off.
This has to be his ultimate goal
Exactly, and he will own the football club, so he will make sure he doesn't lose it, he will even make sure it gains momentum and fast.He wont want to lose £20m.......

It's like ######. I put £50 in my acct a while back, when I made £100 I took my £50 back out again and into my own account. So I therefore paid my own loan back.
It's not an accurate anaology because I'm not in control of the results, whereas MM will be, he can put into place the best people to ensure his money is safeguarded and flourishing.

I'm not sure he will want interest on his loan. He'll be recieveing that in dividends, the more he invests, in theory the better off the club should be for it. An interest free loan would suit all parties.and he will also want a premium back on his cash too, interest at 5%pa on £25m would be in the region of £1.3 per year as well

Who is giving up their own money here? And who is gambling on amking a fortune?
The shareholders may well get back what they paid.
If they get less than they put in then all their efforts will have been purely to support the club and any loss they take on their shares will have been effectively a "gift" to the club.
If they get back what they put in they will have lost the interest on their money - a £500k injection will have lost them around £30k interest a year. If they get more than they put in then it has to be more than the interest they have lost before they make a real profit. So lets not go on about how tight they are. Some of the smaller investors may well have taken loans on businesses and houses to fund their shareholding. Not something I was prepared to do - were you willing to take a £100,000 mortgage on your house to save the City? So I think we need to give them some credit here!
As for MM - press reports of a £25m injection may be wide of the mark. If he pays the shareholders, and takes over the loan payments for the stadium and puts in £4m for transfers - that could be £15m upfront. The fact that City don't have any other massive debts other than the stadium debt makes them VERY attractive.
So why are other groups interested. BECAUSE IT IS WORTH A PUNT.
For an initial outlay of £15m, if City get promoted they will get at least £25m a season in the new prem deal plus 2 parachute payments of £18m. So one season in the prem will buy the stadium (£15m) pay off any costs to buy out the shareholders (£6m) and still leave a balance of a minimum of around £20m to play with.
Of course I could be wrong and the above could be a load of b@£$ocks.
Foxpodder
So you are saying when the loan is paid back and we are running soundly, when MM comes to sell he will take into account the original loanno missing my point, when he comes to sell us on this will be taken into account, it always does....
Anyway as long as I can see a good team on the pitch and playing high level football I could not give a **** if he makes millions or nothing....:icon_cool
