So do you think the Levein out chants before the Palace match helped the team?

Probably not but its pretty much an isolated incident.

And the booing of players at Sheff Weds?

Didn't hear any

And the chants at Jordan Stewart at Stoke?

No, again it was hardly the norm

Just like the shit performances dont inspire the fans and yet we still turn up week in and week out, it is a two way street Webbo !

Also 3 instances in away games, yet we have still only won away once in over 12 months, so what is the excuse for other matches ?

I am not advocating booing or jeering the players or management but they do need to take the lions share of responsibility for the poor performances and results, blaming it on the fans (a small minority) as you all are so keen to point out, is somewhat clutching at straws IMO.

I don't think they are blaming it on the fans at all. I think they are saying that a real good atmoshpere could help them overcome their nervousness and lack of confidence.

At the Walkers we have responded to performances (Stoke, Blunts, Spuds after Elvis' goal) rather than created the atmoshpere up front. I understand why, but still think it would do them good if everyone got behind them right from the warm-up rather than wait to see how they play.

It will remain our club long after the currrent manager and squad of players have left and it is the best interests of the club that we get behind the current mob no matter how frustrated and disillusioned we are!

You have no idea if that is true or not, you're just assuming. Also, name me one player who publicly acts if he doesnt love the club...
True, I am assuming. Sorry about that, I'm afraid when it get written on the OS and Merc and said on every phone in it becomes a kind of aquired knowledge.

Do they? Who? I mostly hear him being slagged off.
Do you want names and dates? Phone numbers? Most people who sit around me at matches seem to think Dublin is wonderful, most callers into Radio Leicester and Heart FM seem to think he's wonderful. Jon Barber speaks about him with an awed voice. I have yet to hear him being slagged off by anyone anywhere but on message boards.

He was less crap than all bar one or two, so why pick him out?
Because the subject started on in this thread was Dublin :102:

Again, there have been far worse performers this season; why single out one player?
See above.

Keith Gellispie was the player of last season. I don't think anyone is calling him player of the season this season, are they? Dion did come out on top of a poll on here earleir in the season though (despite being "mostly crap"). People have short memories...
Actually Tiatto was the offical player of last season. Dublin got a special mention, he was also put up for the East Mids Sports Awards this season, indicating that at least someone thinks he's the best player of this season.

You say no-one thinks he's the best player of the season, then give me a poll where some people do. :102:
I don't have a short memory, I didn't vote for him on that poll....

Who the hell said Matt Heath and Tommy Wright were the best players ever???! I seem to remember Heath was generally thought to be fairly poor all along by the majority of posters on here, and I was one of the first to say that Wright was no where near good enough, and I got a load of shit for it - only his name made him appear good to a few disillusioned people for a while before reality set in.

Last night I heard a caller demanding to know why Wright had been gotten rid of because he would be better than Fryatt. Someone next to me the match after Wright had left was complaining about him going. There was a bit of an uproar from certainly people when Heath left. You must understand I'm not just talking about forums here, I'm talking about people around me at matches, newspapers and phone ins etc.

Walshie just isn't management material for me. He hasn't got the brain for it and isn't anywhere like as demonstrative off the field as he is on it. He's playing golf in Spain - not ideal preparation for management, is it? And if your idea of man management is sleeping with other players' wives.....
I don't think Walshie would be a particularly good manager either, but if it became a choice between Dublin or Walsh, who both have no management experience, I'd pick Walsh every time.

All in all Leigh, I think we'd better agree to disagree, don't you? :056: :icon_wink

Wish I'd read that before writing all my replies. :099::009:;)
