What a shame that Martin O'Neil didn't have wot Cotterill . Davies , Newell and Allen possess and that is loyality to there present club - if he had who knows where we would be now - top 6 in the premiership no doubt - RK should be put in charge this week with the wise old owl Jim Smith as his assistant

Absolute nonsense. He did. He left us for one of the few jobs in football he always felt he would take....He is an extraordinary manager and we were lucky to have him for the time we did.

exactly

Thats fine if you think that the managers of Brentford, PNE, Burnley and Luton think that their clubs are bigger and better than us

And were we not in the premiership when he wanted to have talks with Everton and Leeds Utd

didn't he make it clear (like heskey) when he signed a new contract that there a few clubs that if they were to want to speak to him, that he could?

Only because our Chairman at the time refused him permission to talk to them - will never forget the press conferance on sky sports which showed MON and Elsom looking very unhappy

....the same as Cotterill and Davies chairmen???

I don't think there is anything like the difference between O'Neil as a Catholic taking on the huge Celtic and Davies/Newell/Cotterill leaving their successful sides to take over at good-prospect City.

Let's face it we're not that attractive a proposition - we've had five managers in six years, we've no money and we're near the bottom of the division....
Newell, Allen and Cotterill would all be taking a risk to their reputation by coming to Leicester and "failing". As I've said before some Premier jobs may well come up as a result of the England/Newcastle situation. I'm sure then you'll find these guys may "rediscover their ambition"

As for MON he's a total hero and for those great years he gave us he will always be beyond ctiticism by me.......

Why does everyone keep saying this? Fair enough we have spent our budget for this year, how many teams havent at the end of Feb?? but come next season we will still have more money than most teams.

I mean the financial state of the club continues to be precarious relative to our size....
