they have both been taken off the player profiles on the os

I think they have both left but i dispute Barbers 3 week timescale.

That was Gary Megson. However that statement means nothing. :icon_conf

There is no doubt at all that Holloway is the best manager in current employment at Leicester City.

I hope that he continues to be funny if we are in the same position as we are now at the end of January. I don't envy his position - it's clear enough he has realised that we have bigger problems than he would have assumed when he took over.

Was the boxing result discussed?

That is as maybe, but my response was to the best Manager since Allen. :icon_wink

I know ..... and I was so subtly implying that its absurd to try to evaluate him at this stage.

On his predecessor, I think lots of people took Megson for a bigger fool than what he is.....he isn't my cup of tea as a manager and I wasn't bothered when he left, but I suspect the pro view would be that he is a more likely bet than Holloway. Not as funny of course - but if results matter etc etc.

You are right. :icon_sad:

My view is this. There are two ways to get out of this League, Huff and Puff or Play your way out. My view is that MM is following the Huff and Puff model and is looking for skilful Managers in this area. Thus, Allen, Megson and now Holloway. In this area Holloway is inferior to Megson. Most teams follow this model including Mowbray and Boothroyd admittedly with better players. :icon_conf

The Play your way out model was followed by Keegan and Tigana at Man City and Fulham both of which are still in the PL. I would include Reading and Coppell in this. :icon_wink Crucially this was the model that Al-Fayed and Madjeski (sp) followed.

If MM wants to help himself he will follow the latter model as all the other Clubs follow the first model. All that happens if you follow the first model is that you are competing on level(-ish) terms with every other team. You need luck, better players and a better Manager than we have to make this work at City. Differentiation is all that you might need. :icon_wink

Given the economics of the situation it will only work if MM invests in the second model. :icon_wink

Missed it tonight

judging by the number of posts i did not miss much

Totally forgot it was on and thank **** I did. No doubt it was another hour of Birchenall and Co sayng what good players we have and IF we could only get a bit of luck and IF we could only get one win...
