Totally forgot it was on and thank **** I did. No doubt it was another hour of Birchenall and Co sayng what good players we have and IF we could only get a bit of luck and IF we could only get one win...

Yes - the programme has no integrity with Birchenall there simply to provide his club PR bit. We can all put up with his rubbish when things are going ok - except that we have now forgotten what it was like when thinks were ok.

I appreciate that Birchenall has to avoid making any objective comments if he wants to keep his employment. I quite liked his style when he played for us....but his boring and inane comments on match days and on the local radio really p-sses me off.

To be fair to Birchenall I think he speaks his mind at times and doesn't just tow the club line all the time. At times his honesty is refreshing IMO

Yes, I know what you mean - but when the first half of a home game has been especially putrid, he needs to make a disarming comment or two just to keep the fans on side.

But in the general - he does portray most of the time an illusion that: the lads are working their socks off; its a crying shame that we are not getting the rub of the green; the quality is there and he can't understand why things are not going well - its all so frustrating etc etc; better times are sort of round the corner.

Of course, I entirely understand where he needs to come from. I'm not blaming him because I'm sure he loves his job (and the remuneration) but I don't need to enjoy this approach.

What I also know is that although he was a player himself of limited ability - he always gave more than his best for Leicester City and his former clubs and successfully converted himself from being a not so bad striker into a more than useful midfielder. So credit and respect to him for that.

I also think Birch is in cloud cuckoo land when he keeps going on about 'We just need one player with a bit of stardust', as if one player is suddenly going to score 25 goals and/or turn 35 crap players into great players! The only ones I know that could fit that category go by names such as Terry, Scholes, Drogba, Gerrard etc.

Probably stretching Milan's overdraft a bit to tempt that sort of stardust in!

Some one who could provide a tube of glitter would be nice.,
