I am unsure but I dont think we should dismiss him out of hand. I don't know where the anti-Walsh feeling comes from, thats all.

Perhaps if he had some management expierience at a lower level he might be considered. However he may not even want to become a Manager.

He's here, he's there, he's every fookin' where Stevie Walsh, Stevie Walsh!

What a man!

That equaliser against Fulham in the Coca Cola (Or Worthington, can't remember) that he scored to get it back to all square was where he showed as much passion as any one I can remember has ever shown for LCFC. Also, that tackle on the ginger guy for Palace in the play off final was a cracker. BOOOM! You've been walshed! HAHAHA!

David Hopkin? Only ginger Palace player that comes to my mind. IANGWOC ;)

think walsh intimated in his interview with the fox fanzine that whenever the city job has come up he has applied for it would help if he had his coaching badges first and had some managerial experience

If he were at all interested in management, surely he would done some coaching/managing for someone by now. Also, has he any coaching badges. The best players don't always make the best managers. Finally, he would have to be kept well away from the players' wives, going on his past reputation.

He could be Assistant to Burley.Give it a month and the pair of them would have worked their way through the whole Squad's other halfs and be making a start on the Board Members daughters etc..

Couldn't we get Rix in to do that?

i wouldnt want walsh to be city boss ever

A bit harsh, YV.

What if he served his apprenticeship, gained his coaching badges, worked his way through the managerial "lower reaches".....then, would he be more acceptable?

there are loads of players who have gone on to be great managers, dont see why walshie couldnt be the same, theres absolutely no evidence he wouldnt make it, granted theres a chance he wouldnt but its the same with all managers. Walshie over Taylor anyday

You might say that now - but there wasn't anybody saying it then!

Bottom line is that he has shown no inclination for coaching/management since he hung up his boots. To my mind that rules him out for good.
