Could be an option as cover. Although not a regular starter he has been around some big clubs and a regular international, so must have some pedigree. On a free and if he can prove his fitness then could be adequate back-up. As long as it's not at the expense of a superior centre back to come into the first 11.

I don't think Maguire is a proven Prem centre back. He was a mainstay in a very poor Hull defence.
