So you think we can keep Vardy and Schmeichel, dump the rest, spend £300million on 9 replacements that are so much better, and expect them to gel into a team during pre-season so we can get a top 4 finish?

I don't know what you're talking about.

I like our midfield, I like Vardy and Slimani up front. Our defence is in dire need of upgrading.

Priorities are difficult to judge without knowing formation, which needs changing Imo.

new defenders are a must, I also think we need new CM with some ability to get forward and create something.

An upgrade on Okazaki will be needed if we insist on this formation.

Isn't that Mahrez? and coming through Gray and Lawrence? Albrighton also gets forward and creates (for others).

IMO 2 of our 4 midfielders are there to go forward and create something - they certainly aren't there for their defensive ability.

Okazaki is a striker (supposedly) we've needed an upgrade on him since he arrived. For me it has to be Vardy and Slimani up front with Vardy running around like Okazaki and then getting in the box (like okazaki) and scoring (unlike Okazaki).

I think we need two CBs, a creative midfielder and a striker. That is going to cost a lot of money, so I'd prioritise spending money there, rather than diverting some of it to a RB. All IMO, of course.

see above and reply with your counter thoughts.

None of those players you've listed play in the centre, they're all wide midfielders.

They could play in the middle. To have an attacking midfielder in the centre we'd either have to give up totally on defence or change our formation to a diamond or similar and lose the wide men. since I presume that Ndidi and Drinky are not seen as attacking (was King?)

Surely if you're looking for something more offensive in the middle then the problem is Okazaki which I agree needs sorting?

Different matches need different options. I'm not suggesting they are instead of Ndidi or Drinky, but as well as. We don't have a creative central midfielder and I think we need one.

The team didn't handle changes of formation very well last season, maybe the new manager will have better luck with that.

Maybe we need to **** off the players who can't play in more than one formation?

They could also play acros the back four, or even in goal

But they won't, because that would be absolutely feckin' ridiculous, wouldn't it

Jebus Cripes, it's Silly Season good and proper

It must be . You're posting.

Just a general observation, but based on the quality of this past season's Premier League I think half the league will be looking to make major squad changes, competition will be even fiercer than usual, and prices will rocket.

More important than ever to get the important business done early I think.

Would be nice to have our permanent manager in so that we can get on signing players - those who will actually play not fill out stadium seats.
