Yep. She was the only person I knew on the entire continent and I'd met her for one day, so looking back it was quite a brave move really. It all worked out great though - we were married for six and a half years, and even though we got divorced last summer, we're still best friends and I'm definitely staying over here, cuz it's ace. :icon_cool

I have no experience of renting outside of London, but I guess it's much less stressful renting in a new place than buying in a new place. I bought my first place back in January and things are only just finally getting settled now! Good luck anyway...
