in the mercury, milan has stated that neil warnock wanted to come to leicester, but did not employ him because he was staggered how much leicester fans loathed him.

i for one wanted him here and i am pretty peed off with this news.

Perhaps I am being overly cynical, but there could be another angle to this statement. It could be that MM is already preparing his excuses: "Well, if the fans had let me bring in Warnock, we wouldn't be in this mess now. ", Then he can also blame the fans when he cuts and runs.

I remember that most people who had a go at Megson mentioned his ginger hair as a negative.

In exactly the same way if he had worn glasses, he would have been referred to as a speccy twat. The dislike was nothing to do with him being a ginge, just a convenient way to let people know who you were talking about without actually having to say his name.

i stated on here many many months ago that Warnock was interviewed by MM and declared he wasnt interested when he found that he wouldnt have say over transfer dealings. apart from the fact that the whole thing would have been a car crash waiting to happen of course.

i dont believe MM has run a club in the third tier - maybe this will be his level and his meddling will be rewarded this year?? doubt it though.

I've stated all kinds of bollocks on here, doesn't mean any of it was true though.

That's what I heard too and the way things have panned out I find it entirely believable.

Warnock's "credentials" have been way overstated IMO. He'd been a manager for about a million years but had just, for the first time ever, got to the Prem, where he royally fecked it up. The idea that he was some sort of managerial messiah was, and still is, total bullshit. I didn't want him them and I'm glad we've not got him now. Twat.

however sheff utd were always at the right end of the table consistently prior to their promotion, sort of like brian little here although it took him 3 attempts he did very well in the league for those 3 seasons.

Not to mention he managed to take Forest down. And what about they way he shunned responsibility? At the Forest match - his first game in charge, instead of taking the flack he went and hid in the stands, the only time during his management of the club that he did this.

Milan's interview in the Mockery was total rubbish. Lies followed by lies spiced with PR spin.

For me Milan relegated us last season without a shadow of a doubt. He got lucky twice in his entire time as Pompy chairman. Once by appointing Rednapp, and twice by reappointing him having fecking him off and screwing up the club!

But yet for some reason people still can't see the light? He claimed in the Mockery that we weren't fit at the start of the season - yet I saw every competitive performance under MA, and many of the preseasons and I never considered the team to be lacking fitness. He states this as one of the reasons he sacked MA, but then in the next response claims it was for non footballing reasons. Milan is a headcase IMO.

History will judge Milan as the worst thing to happen to Leicester City, even if it can't be seen now.

I don't think Pearson will be a success.
I don't think we will get promoted this season.
I don't think Milan will be here in 12 months time.
I worry that Milan will continue buy the players.

we will see I hope you are wrong of course. I guess manu are lucky they stumbled on alex ferguson just luck they got a good manager, we were lucky to get MON, arsenal lucky to get wenger and so on.

Warnock was not interviewed by MM.

forgive me but you are wrong - maybe not technically - i mean he didnt turn up at the walkers with his briefcase, suit and a shiny pair of shoes but MM spoke with him on the phone on more than one occasion and it was Warnocks decision that things went no further.

Why do you seek forgiveness? - you have just told me that I am correct despite your initial assertion that stated otherwise.

I wonder why all those people signing on for Job seekers allowance don't try that one?

"Mr Smith, have you attended any employment interviews recently?"

"No, but I have spoken to somebody on the phone."

"Oh, that's fine then. Just sign here please so that we can send you your Giro."
