No. Agreeing with you would damage my image more than admitting to owning Bronski Beat and Erasure records.

:icon_lol:
Agreeing with me would make you correct though.

:icon_roll Anyway, I ltill agree the new Arcade Fire album is boring and uninspired, popular or not, it just lacks that something taht their debut had

I'll have to listen to it before passing judgement - and even then it will only be an instant reaction - I need to listen to something properly before making an accurate judgement.

Off to see them in Manchester on Friday.

Webbo, have you been to see them yet?

well I'll let you know how they are on Friday on Sunday (if you catch my imitation twix minus the 'er'),

From people's comment and only hearing 3 of the tracks, I can suggest it lacks inspiration. The debut had a driving force and it seems Neon Bible has fallen to the 'difficult second album letdowns destroyed because the band no longer have anything to get off their chest, thererby devoiding any passion in the music'.

I've always believed that the debut album was Us Kids Know that came out in 2003. It's officially just called 'Arcade Fire' and it's only an EP with about 7 tracks but it's great.

Many people believe Funeral was their first effort but that's a common misconception.

I bought the new one yesterday and after two and a bit listens I think it has all the hallmarks of a 'grower'. The obvious track 'Intervention' is sensational but I'm sure the others will come to life after the 50th listen (or so).

Extrememly looking forward to seeing them at Apollo tomorrow now.

It is officially called "Arcade Fire EP" but is unofficially known as Us Kids Know after a lyric in the song 'No Cars Go'. ;) See here

And yes I have got said EP, it's good.

Regardless of whether Funeral wasnt or was a debut, it was an album built on passion and add some intent towards it.

What passion was Funeral based on exactly?
