The only thing they need to be good at is serving it quickly. They have got a 15 minute period to serve everyone who wants a pie or a pint. What always amazes me is that at 3.47pm on a Saturday they are consistently caught by surprise by the rush for food and drink. Here's an idea - have it ready and have it handy. If it isn't within arms reach they shouldn't be selling it.

....it's the incredible chilled feeling of sitting there flat as a pancake on the steel table which attracts people to buy a beer from there.

I have seen bottled beer at Stoke - plastic bottles though - at £3.50! a bottle!

Need it that day too....

Just reminded me of a game away at Sheff Utd. This guy came up the stairs with a pint in his hand, he was staggering all over the place. Duzza and I just stood there laughing. God knows how he managed to walk past about 4 or 5 stewards with that in his hand.

I hope this isn't the people who ran the burger van outside the East Stand. I came straight from work to one game last season, bought a hot dog from them as a last resort, went straight into the ground, bit into the delight only to be greated by frozen onions! I honestly didn't think that anything would beat the toe-nail clipping style onions I had at Charlton. How hard can it be to fry an onion FFS.
