They are a coach at a lower league club that has just been promoted. His club will be appointing a new manager soon and when they do the coach is coming to us.

No, no, no. Paying the £10 has no bearing at all on when you will find out about any signings/appointments. You pay it so that the FT will find out about it before you do - and then afterwards they can rub your nose in it by telling you that they knew about it all along.
