Not this year but what about (hopefully) next year in the prem ..............

i doubt he would want to be an assistant though and nigel would possibly worry that to have a high profile assistant could make him vulnerable if results go arwy for any length of time.

I doubt that. I like Chris Powell but I don't think he would be prime candidate number one to be our manager in the Premier League if Nige was to get sacked even if he was part of the coaching staff.

I do hope he gets a job elsewehere tho'. The writing was clearly on the wall for him once the takeover went through at Charlton.

thinking more along the lines that powell could be ' a safe pair of hands' short term whilst they trawled around for a replacement.
