Kante's ability to tackle someone, sometimes end up on the floor, keep the ball at his feet and pass it forwards is what makes him a genius. I've never seen anyone else so good at that particular skill, and it is a skill.

The hype is fully deserved in my eyes. Put him in any of the top 6's midfield and they would be transformed in a way that only a top, top, player can do.

The suggestion that Kante will somehow become an example for all midfielders to copy is plausible. He has revolutionised what we consider good, combative midfield play to be.
