To oversee another summer transfer window like the one after we won the league? No thanks.

I think it’s funny how some think Rudkin is the root of all evils within the club but think bringing back Walsh would be a good idea. Of course I’m not dismissing the success he had with us. But come on, he was as responsible for what happened after the title win as anyone at the club. And he hasn’t exactly been successful since he left.
How involved was he in that he left very early to go to Everton

I don't agree. Walsh has an outstanding record in recruiting players. The mistake in Summer 16 was that the players he recruited were not properly integrated into the squad. His role was deliberately one on the training ground too and he told the manager the qualities of the new players and he worked them into the group and helped them play to their potential.

This is a big reason why the Summer 16 signings were a disaster. Walsh wasn't there to do the role he was excellent at doing. He then went to Everton and Koeman froze him out of doing the job he's best at there too. It's a terrible waste. He works better with Allardyce and, surprise, surprise, some of his signings are now coming good.

Even players that he signs that don't work out tend to prove themselves to have something at some stage. Just look at Kramaric at the moment as an example. Of course he wasn't 100% successful, but I'd say his record of spotting talent is as good as anyone I've ever known.

There will be some gems at Everton that will prove themselves in time. When he's idiotically ditched by them, there will be no shortage of offers coming his way.

Billy McKinlay has left the management team at West Ham following the departure of David Moyes.
