I suppose that it was a reflection on how unpleasant John Elsom's leaving the club was that there was no mention of his death at the game today. I fully expected a pre-match moment but not a word.

Think his name might have drawn a few boos, so probably the right thing to do, as that would have been awful
 
I’ve said a million times there is no ‘right’ way to play football, if you get the desired result you’ve done it right. But **** me, this modern brand of obsessive possession football may be the most boring thing ever invented by humans. The species that gave the universe unfathomably tragic depths of tedium via the media of organised religion, thousands of different types of tax, darts, and Peter Shilton’s autobiography has outdone itself.

The dividend at Championship level is the opposition chases the ball, gets tired and are vulnerable to shipping decisive goals in the last few minutes. Seems like a plan... If it continues to work.
