I genuinely think he’d have preferred to stay here, but due to the ridiculous PSR rules we had to sell him and spend similar money to bring in Skipp. It’s mental.

I find it very hard to believe he would have rather he stayed here tbh. Players left us for Chelsea when we were actually good.

Yes, perhaps recent managers should have given him more of a run out. I notice he made two brief substitute appearances at the end of the 2019/20 season but that was it: we gave him nine minutes of competitive football.

Daka and Edouard both have more goals and assists in the EPL, so not sure how Hirst is instantly better because he had one good game…

He’s not even first choice for Ipswich, Delap their main man.

Probably because Hirst has only started 1 game in the PL and appeared fleetingly in 7 others.

He's also been injured a lot.
