The point of my list is that these are all players who received different amounts of undue criticism on this site but when you look back to realise what good players they were for us at the time

Former England manager Peter Taylor has been sacked by Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The 62-year-old was in charge of Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters, co-owned by Tendulka

Another candidate for the Forest job :)

Funnily enough, from infostrada sports tonight

.@staderennais' Gelson Fernandes is the first player this century to score a goal in the Bundesliga, Serie A, Premier League and Ligue 1.
Pffft! He hasn't scored in the Tippeliga yet

Steve Howey playing the sausage sandwich game this morning. Seems to be having trouble with the concept.

Danny Baker on Radio 5, I'm sure I'm not the only one...

I used to but since Jon Richardson went on talk shite I listen to that now, much to my embarrassment

Macky, are you on Talksport right now by any chance?

*I highly doubt this

Saw Steve Earle (70 last week) yesterday, over from America.

In much better shape than me (but he is 3 months younger!)

NP interview behind the Murdoch paywall with sympathetic Sunday Times journalist David Walsh.

Fairly anodyne, stressing he'd moved on and was looking for an opportunity to move into management, accepting "... with the jobs that are going to become available, there will be quite a bit of work to be done. It is very unusual to be able to take over a situation which has a lot of positives to it".

Annoyed at the charges of being a bully, particularly from players (someone called Trevor Sinclair mentioned .. who he?) he's never worked with. Interesting to hear his account of the tracking of Jamie Vardy over a number of years, nearly swooped to bring him to Hull, but felt he benefitted from his time at Fleetwood. Confident Jamie would make the transition to international football.
