Matt Oakley on for Exeter against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

'A nice footballer and a good golfer' - Danny Murphy, BBC Sport.

And a Derby legend. That slow substitution when we were losing at pride park still irks me.

Dean Hammond starts for Sheffield United at Old Traffard in the FA Cup.

He's having a good game according to Radio Sheffield though.
I think they want to keep him too, so he might be "ex" soon.

So why didn't you put it in the 'Might be an EX soon' thread?

Hammond gives away a 93rd min penalty

Waghorn has 25 goals in 27 games. Wow... does this go to show the absolutely abysmal standard of Scottish football?

Scotland is a much smaller country than England. So although they're in the Scottish Championship, it's probably the equivalent of the level below Conference National in the English league. Around half the teams they play against are part-timers.
So a team with Rangers' resources should be running away with the league.

A half decent player could score 25 in all 27 games. Anything under 500 goals in a season there and you couldn't play Sunday league in England.

I was reading the comments section from one of the Guardian football pages and people were discussing who should be the next Man. Utd. manager after VanGaal, this gem was posted, made me laugh:

"SHINE THE GARY MEGSON LIGHT INTO THE NIGHT SKY OVER OLD TRAFFORD!"

Tale of two ex-fullbacks in the Swansea /Sunderland game - Kyle Naughton sent off and Patrick van Aanholt getting Sunderland's second.
