He had one moment where he came forward but instead of an obvious pass to the left which would have given a goal scoring opportunity he tried a shot to try and be the hero and it went hopelessly wide.

Since then on twitter the Man Utd fans have slaughtered him.

Indeed. Going for a tackle and sliding through Mr. Lineker's jobbies would seem to be much nastier than stepping over a pool of piss at the back of a stand. Modern footballers have it easy.

Not the first time he's played at full back this season, he's done it a few times. Earlier in the season he was playing right back with Tom Lawrence playing on the right wing.
