Sorry mate for a minute i thought i said i wasnt being critical and just asking a question but you must be right and i must be slagging him off!!

Doesn't really matter if he was a failure then does it.

The mercury claimed he had turned us down because he wasnt ready for a return to management. Said if he got offerd a job he would consider it.

Yes, I think any manager out of work would have the courtesy to listen to an offer, but in Jewell's case with us, thats all he wanted to do. See what was on offer, he had no real intentions of coming here.

Well it seems to be with every other manager mentioned.
It was just a question i asked because i couldnt remember his record that is all i thought somebody might of been friendly enough to answer it but obviously not i was not going to judge him on it i was just curious.

Jewell loses his job after just eight months in charge and a run of only 2 wins in 13 matches which has left them at the bottom of the First Division and staring another relegation in the face.

Seems he wasn't considered much of a success there :102:

Was talking to a Wednesday fan today who doesn't rate Jewell at all, so I'm guessing you could be right about him being rubbish when he was there. It's his latest achievements that interest me though.
Would be happy with any one of Dowie, Davies, Warnock or Jewell. Not necessarily in that order!

Experience in this league got + promoted from this league, wouldn't that leave someone like tigana still in the running?

Just still think there is a suprise.

No one suspected martin allen would get the job so hopefully tigana is still in the running

I have assumed that 'experienced' to MM means taken a club up to the Prem, even if did not keep job, or been a Prem manager!

Or even possibly a La Liga or Serie A manager!
