Yes we could have, conversely, with other results going in our favour, we only have to get 3 more points than the 3 teams above us between now and end of the season to stay up.

We basically have to beat Manchester United away, which I'm sure will be a doddle since they'll have nothing to motivate them.

It's hard to see us beating Crystal Palace at home since they're -- as I believe the term goes -- "doing a Crystal Palace".

There was a lot of talk about us going 13 games without a win. Sunderland, definitely now a relegation rival, have now won once in 12 games. How are they so awful when they actually have a few very good players (I am talking about Johnson, Larsson, Pantilimon and now I suppose Defoe as well) ?

Fingers crossed this continues.

We are still in this - as we only need to win 2 more games than 3 or of the teams above us, and we are in good form. COYB.

Hull, Villa look doomed. The sooner we erode Villa's points advantage the sooner we make it a 4 way scrap for 18th place.. between us, Burnley, QPR & West B.
