Ran by the new training ground today. There’s a public footpath that runs from the main road to Ratcliffe College. Between part of the old golf course and new training ground. Great views of the buildings and pitches.

I'm sure that the original plans had the contractors handing the keys over two weeks today - 28th June. Supposedly, just in time for pre-season training.

Although those pictures looks pretty well advanced, my guess is that the club won't move in until this season is completed so maybe August time. It would be quite an upheaval to do it whilst this period of matches is going on.

Given the weather over the autumn/winter period, combined with the current situation, it would be surprising if they weren’t delayed a bit.

I spoke to the security guard at the main entrance and asked him when he thought it would be ready. He said September. Not sure how much in the know he is, but he probably knows more than most.

I've been doing some research on the public footpath I ran on. As you can see from the photos yesterday, it goes right past the training ground. The training ground is on one side of the path, and part of the old golf course on the other. The path is the yellow line on the attached image.

I took a photo yesterday of a new path that's being built and wondered what it was for. After finding the planning application online, it looks like this is going to be the new public footpath. This will be diverted around the edge of the land rather than straight through it (purple dots on the final image).

Summary: If you want to get a closer look at the training ground, now's the time before they divert the footpath.

We've not heard much at all officially, almost entirely from contractors or drone footage. Really odd how the club have down played this. I thought they'd be all over social media about the progress.

Unless of course it won't be ready for preseason.

Someone said earlier in the thread that it will be ready in September. Next season starts on the 12th of September. So they'll almost certainly be back at Belvoir Drive, even if it is just for Pre-season.
