The 4 points in Ruid’s first two games were great and could prove pivotal at the end of the season. But we haven’t become a good team in two weeks. Today was a reality check (if anyone needed one). You don’t win Premier League matches with Ward and Choudhury in the team. You don’t win matches at this level with Luke Thomas in the team. Why these players are still at the club is a symptom of many years of bad decisions.

Our squad (on the whole) is not good enough for the Premier League. And with no presence in front of a poor back four, we were well and truly ****ed today.

We need our key players fit and available. We can’t carry injuries to key players like Ricardo and Fatawu. And I’m stating the f’n obvious but Mads would be the biggest miss of all.

Stolarczyk was injured very early in pre season. Instead of spending £20m on Skipp, a player we don’t need, we should have made it a priority to get a competent back up keeper, and that would have cost a damn-sight less. Hopefully today has shown Ruud that he can never pick Ward again.

But all that being said, we can still stay up. We take the points where we can get them and we move on from days like today. If we beat Wolves next week, we’ll still be in a good position. And of course, that is a big ‘if’. We all have to hope that they don’t sack O’Neill this week.

And in January, we need some key additions

Worse than anything we’ve seen this season.

Only turned on at HT. That is up there with the one of the worst 45s I’ve seen from us in a long time.

Newcastle cut through us with ease. Looked like scoring every time they got forward.

Huge game against Wolves, on that showing, very worrying.

I'm dying to hear the logic behind that team selection. I'm ****ed if I can decode any of it. If it was supposed to be an attempt to play things tight & organised with Hamza anchoring midfield or some such, then the players cearly didn't ****ing understand it as they played in completely the opposite way. Open as ****. Basically inviting the Toon to just run through us. I'm at a loss.

That was a Megson level performance.

Three games under Ruud.

74 shots against. Only 7 went in though.

It could have been much worse.

We've been remarkably fortunate really.

Good job we gave the job to someone who can organise a defence. Ahem.

Grim. On the bright side, Salah has failed to score for Liverpool at the 7th or 8th hurdle so Vardy's record is safe for another stretch....

What we signed in the summer was without shadow of any doubt a total ****ing disgrace. £20m for Skipp. Lolz

That isn't why we appointed him though. He was appointed because no other fecker wanted the job. Same as the last bloke.

Sack the board

Yep. Today was no surprise considering how fortunate we were in the last two matches.

No worries.

After Wolves it's only Liverpool, Man City & Villa lined up in a row for the taking.

We'll be ****ing 19th by 3rd round day.
