What we signed in the summer was without shadow of any doubt a total ****ing disgrace. £20m for Skipp. LolzThe 4 points in Ruid’s first two games were great and could prove pivotal at the end of the season. But we haven’t become a good team in two weeks. Today was a reality check (if anyone needed one). You don’t win Premier League matches with Ward and Choudhury in the team. You don’t win matches at this level with Luke Thomas in the team. Why these players are still at the club is a symptom of many years of bad decisions.
Our squad (on the whole) is not good enough for the Premier League. And with no presence in front of a poor back four, we were well and truly ****ed today.
We need our key players fit and available. We can’t carry injuries to key players like Ricardo and Fatawu. And I’m stating the f’n obvious but Mads would be the biggest miss of all.
Stolarczyk was injured very early in pre season. Instead of spending £20m on Skipp, a player we don’t need, we should have made it a priority to get a competent back up keeper, and that would have cost a damn-sight less. Hopefully today has shown Ruud that he can never pick Ward again.
But all that being said, we can still stay up. We take the points where we can get them and we move on from days like today. If we beat Wolves next week, we’ll still be in a good position. And of course, that is a big ‘if’. We all have to hope that they don’t sack O’Neill this week.
And in January, we need some key additions
We can’t let that continue and hope to stay up.74 shots against. Only 7 went in though.
Good job we gave the job to someone who can organise a defence. Ahem.

Yep. Today was no surprise considering how fortunate we were in the last two matches.Three games under Ruud.

It could have been much worse.
We've been remarkably fortunate really.
