Three at the back is good. The full backs are right. The front two are right.

In midfield, I'd have gone for Mendy ahead of Ndidi but agree with the other two.

I am delighted to see the two gutless ham actors - Maddison and Barnes - benched. This is the first time Smith has actually done some management.

It depends whether you want a committed team or not?

Every time Maddison or Barnes are on the pitch, I feel physically sick. The contempt they have for the club is extraordinary. They play for themselves only.

They are not alone and some of the scumbags remain in the side, but this is a positive step forward at last.
