David Guion - get him in. Five minutes research, and I'm convinced he's the man for the job. I'll accept my finders fee in food and/or beverage form.

I admit that getting in another French coach may not be a popular choice, but how about Guion at Reims?
Got them promoted to Ligue 1 last year, and has them sat in sixth place now. Used to be their youth team coach, so can develop players, and plays a high pressure direct attacking style. He's also a 'metal preparation' specialist who is all for a pizza day.
Metallica as warm-up music in the dressing room? He may have lost the dressing room already then

Would we be able to steel him from them?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t. Puel wasn’t hated because he was French, he was hated because he bored us all to tears.

I’d have Laurent Blanc like a shot.

Unless the brief has changed, we won't be appointing a manager that hasn't already proved himself to be capable at Premier League level. So we can discount any overseas managers or lower league managers.

We will appoint someone who has previous experience managing in the top half of the Premier League. I think we'll go for someone that previously managed a top six club.

That's not really working though is it? Fact is, if the coach is/was a capable top 6 manager, then they'd still be in a job. We need someone with the drive to strive to achieve more, not some tired journeyman or someone that couldn't hack it.

Whoever is the next permanent manager, I hope he is received better than Claude was.

I'm not going to work today so I can prepare my 'Welcome Moysie' banner for the Brighton game.

Reading that and hearing Huth on Radio 5 I am staggered he got as long as he did.

I can fully understand why it has probably not been the primary consideration of Top this year. Frankly I will be very pleased to see the back of this season.
