Well at the very least, he was considered pretty sexy during his time managing Man U, so I assume he'll have most fans backing on that basis.

Am I right in remembering that when Our Jamie broke Nan Nistlerooys record, RvP was full of appreciation of Our Jamie, and happy for him?

Just hoping this is another false dawn like Potter was last time.

Decided to look into his playing style.

The article also included this bit:

Peter Bosz was announced as PSV’s permanent head coach on July 1, 2023, leading the club to the league title the following season. Such was the dominant nature of their title win (they finished five points higher than Arne Slot’s Feyenoord and lost only once), that some sections of Dutch media began to question Van Nistelrooy’s claims that the squad had been rendered uncompetitive due to player sales/financial strife.

PSV’s 2023-24 season was an improvement on the previous campaign on nearly every level.

The same can be said about Forest since Cooper left.

my general thoughts.

1. Cooper had to go. It wasn’t working and wasn’t going to and performances were getting worse.

2. I’d have preferred a more proven set of hands here, but if we are limited to “free agents” and both Moyes and Potter passed, it’s slim pickings

3. Pretty skeptical he has what is needed in this situation. I’m actually surprised he took the job, given its risks to him. Still, let’s see, eh?

4. If Top actually cares about fixing the club and its reputation he needs to clear out that boardroom and leadership suite. Until then, we are massively hamstrung

Absolute shambles.
What a complete mess.
I’m so glad we sacked Cooper.
I just think sacking a manager who has had a successful career before joining our shambles of a club, for what is a massive gamble just seems ridiculous. I kinda get the logic for a Moyes type, but this just seems mental to me.
Yes it can in the 12 matches so far this season.

This is about RvN though.
Are you sure?

You can also say that we got quite considerably worse after Enzo left.
Yes of course things haven’t been as good in the Premier League than in the Championship.

Another dumb comparison that has no resemblance to the article.

****ing hell wish I hadn’t posted it now.

Said it all for me.
