Leicester City owner Milan Mandaric has admitted that his club has a significant interest in former Yeovil Town goalkeeper Chris Weale. Mandaric has confirmed that a goalkeeper is high on Leicester's shopping list this summer, and admitted that the Foxes had recently had Weale watched, presumably during his loan spell at Huish Park during the latter part of the season just gone.

Weale played 10 times for the Glovers during his two month loan at Huish Park, famously scoring against Hereford United and bringing his appearances with the club up to 214 games. He is now out of contract at Ashton Gate, with no firm decision being made upon his future either way. Mandaric has told the BBC that the Foxes, who have just been promoted into the Championship division after one season in League One, are interested in bringing him to the Walkers Stadium:

"He is one of the targets our goalkeeping coach has got. He's got very very big positive marks when we saw him, so he is one of our targets of course. It is no secret to our supporters, who we are quite open with, that we need a good goalkeeper."
