The way I see it, we have nine matches to match the teams in positions three (Peterborough - 60) to, let's say eight (Stockport - 51) in order to achieve promotion.
You think about it - if Millwall win their two games in hand, they'll be on 61 points with a much worse goal difference to us. So, they can win their next four games and we can lose the next four games we will still be ahead of them. This will put us on 37 games played meaning that as long as we match them for the remaining nine games, we will be ahead at the end of the season.
The same is true for the other teams - we just need to match them all for nine more games and that's that!
This also doesn't take into account teams in positions three to eight playing each other OR the fact that we are ****ing excellent.
In other words, I'm feeling pretty confident that we'll go up in one of the two automatic promotion places BUT I will not be counting any chickens until they have hatched because these things have a terrible habit of turning round to bit your tits off (that's right Alex, tits).
I thank you.
