Leicester City World

There have been recent instances of links to our premium content zone, Leicester City World, being posted on messageboard websites. Users of these sites are then able to access the interviews or commentary offered on the services free of charge. The club would like to remind these offenders that this act constitutes to fraud. For those who are not as yet subscribers to the service, a package can be purchased for as little as £3.99 per month via direct debit.

Should the fraudulent use of the premium content areas persist, the club will be forced to contact the Football League regarding the situation and issue cease and desist letters to the offending messageboards.

Any instances of the above should be reported to [email protected]

Your thoughts webbo, as if it's a problem I'll set up my own website where you can post links from for Commentary and highlights and general discussion... Can do what they like but can't imagine TD along with half of Leics constabualry tracking me down in Bangkok!!!!

If they shut down the site I'll just set up a new one from web cafes... so Doubt they could even trace the IP address.

Pathetic if you ask me... Obv Subscribers to world are down this year!

All of this may be true, but as Webbie does all of this for free the last thing I want to do is get him in strife.

I paid last year but other than the commentary world has nothing to offer. If they improved the service maybe more people would join it!

webbo wouldn't get done as they wouldn't have the proof of a posted link. As long as people didn't click straight on the link from here they wouldn't know (i think). They just need to copy and paste it in your browser. SORTED.

It's silly really.... people can just watch central news and see the goals. There are only a handful of people who can't.

Dead right rather than pay for World I just tuned one of my Sky Channels into Central.

I know a number of websites have had legal problems in the past, with the FA and football league threatening action against websites that feature copyrighted material - and posting stuff like that is against the forum rules.


If PTV had set their system up properly they wouldn't have this problem, they'd be able to make it much more difficult for people who haven't paid for stuff to share it. Considering the resources they have, the lack of protection on their files is pathetic.

Don't want to get Jeff in trouble but I don't think they can stop it hence the message rather than going straight to their 'action'

The football league is the copyright owner, so they would be able to take acton against anyone 'stealing' their stuff. But it's PTV's fault that it's so easy to steal.

Not entirely sure of the legal situation, but posting links to copyrighted stuff has always been against the forum rules, and it's also against the terms and conditions of most ISPs, so even if you can get round it on a legal technicality you're on dodgy ground if the league / PTV take it up with your ISP.

On a similar subject, the club is giving cameras to fans to record their experiences at home and away grounds - and this includes taking pictures inside the ground.

But it's against the club's rules (printed on the back of their tickets) to take a camera into the ground. Maybe people can get away with it for home games, if they explain what it's for, but a steward can refuse you entry to the ground if you're carrying a camera.
