I am sure its due to them being on school holiday's and they are not back to pre-seaon training yet ,not 100% on that tbh

Doubt it. Summers Holidays is when they drag all the kids in. My cousin was leaving his house at 8 this morning to be at Derby for an all-day training session.

I reckon they have to pay them. It's much cheaper to get some young kids from the Young Foxes or whatever to be selected.

Aparently they do, as stated in my last post:icon_roll and we cant afford to at this moment in time.

There were ball boys, but there was no 'multi-ball' system like last year. Also, the kids were so small i don't think they'd be able to climb over the hoardings!

I also noticed the empty corp boxes (not just empty, un-sponsored). I was speaking to someone who's company hadn't renewed theirs, apparently the club froze prices. Upton Steel seem to have upped their input though.

Hardly surprising about reduced corporate input, with the general economic situation.

Out of all the shitty and annoying things to emanate from the Premier league, the 'your reserves can't play with us' diktat was one of the worst.

The ball boys were the same kids that did the football in the community thing at half time with that Leroy chap. (And as ball boys they were crap).

See you renewed your season ticket in the same spot, you are two rows in front of me two seats over, I'll take a photo of your back next game :icon_cool:icon_cool

Yep. Been there since the place opened.

When we were at Filbo the ball boys used to be players who played for the academy/centre of excellence sides and the deal was that they did the job and their parents got 1 free ticket. This continued when we first moved to the Walkers but not sure if it's still the case

Bill who normally organises the ball boys was with the under 16's on Saturday so maybe that's why they weren't as good as normal

how much does it cost to play reserve games?

£2 per entry at The Marstons, a couple of hundred there...

surely that covers the 158 bus fare and chucking The Knitters a few bob?
