- Good result today for Holwell in the FA Vase. They are the only LSL club left in the competition.

some good results there!
Nice to see Oadby win again.
and Leicestershire teams doing well in the vase
There are rumours that Oadby could have some financial problems... and some have speculated that they could go 'bust' soon. :icon_conf I somehow doubt this, but a rumour is a rumour. :icon_wink

Surely that cup run when they got a big pay day against Nuneaton looked after them nicely?
what the 2nd round qualifing? hardly a cup run
although the attendence was quite high

Yeh but thats dosh goes along way for Oadby. I think its about 5k for that cup run and the attendance would been about 2k in money.
Probably....
I just remember hearing that their manager quite and then came back a few days later.... so something is going on. However, by the looks of their result today they are doing just fine. :icon_bigg

I still think it is just a little problem with money, but they'll be fine. Hopefully.
Just a few rumbles here and there. One from talking to people and the other from message forums. The latest is that Oadby are paying their players a little less than earlier in the season, which is nothing new for many non-league clubs.
They haven't been that bad this year. They actually sit just above mid-table.... ahead of Friar Lane & Epworth (who didn't play today)...
From the Unibond First Division....
"On a sad note the game at Woodley Sports against Alsager Town became the first UniBond game to abandoned due to morons when the referee took the players off after an arrow had been fired on to the pitch."
