Doyle looks okay but he isn't a LB at all. He needs to be central. Coady has been our best player by a mile. Winks looks very handy as well. I think KDH has been pretty solid and has delivered some excellent corners and I also think Vardy has shown some brilliant movement and has had their back line for pace on many occasions. I think Madivadua has played some lovely football at times but has overcomplicated things at others. I'm not actually sure what to think about him yet. Praet has been completely anonymous.

I like the role Ricardo is being asked to play, he's doing it well but it's a big ask for a player made of glass. I honestly don't know what some folks' problem is with Faes. He's been completely comfortable and played some exceptional passes. He's had a couple of moments but no more than Doyle has. It's a typical pre-season game and we're experimenting. There are some good signs.

I liked the look of it, particularly Ricardo.

We obviously are missing 1 or 2 creative options - imagine Castagne, Praet and Madividua will be replaced with signings.

Midfield looks tidy, Winks, Ricardo and KDH.

Played him wide right against Peterborough and wide left today.

Suggests to me that Maresca doesn't rate him as a striker. I thought he'd be the main forward this season, but he might be on his way.
