Just watched....Nugent is never in control of the ball. In fact, he even dived at the end for good measure. I am not going to go around in circles it was a poor decision IMO and many of Pompey fans have commented on the luck of the red card.

They were humouring you.

I want to see us playing 4-4-2... this 4-3-3 doesn't work for us in my opinion.

Logan

Lamey
Hobbs
Erm..... have we got time to loan someone?
Kennedy

Abe
Wellens
King
Dyer

Fryatt
Waghorn

That was quite difficult to be honest... Neilson, Berner, Morrison and Oakley all out on account of being the most woeful on Friday.

Is the centre back choice just between Hobbs, Morrison and Moreno though? Not sure who I'd go for.

I thought Vitor looked alright before his sending off.... which I think was a bit harsh/strict. Wouldn't condemn him for that

This week is it then for Sousa surely. Friday was a fricken abysmal showing. If I remember rightly it took a shocker of a match against Sheff. Utd before Martin O'Neill's reign started to come to fruition.

I expect to see a much improved performance, especially at the back, what we've seen this season defensively has been terrible? Why the **** we are defending so high up the pitch I don't know but I think that might be the core of the problem there. I just don't get how a team with a great defense last year coupled with a manager who was himself a defensive midfielder in his playing days and had a good record in defense with Swansea last year can turn into what we've seen so far...

I don't think you're his type.

They're only for people I like. I'll be bringing two cakes.

You mean that one moment where he appeared to actually be awake? Yes, he was fast.

I'm not going to this match, so you'll only be bringing one ;)

What about the 4-4-1-1 formation? If we play the same defense and midfield with Gallagher playing as the Centre forward, Attacking midfielder role and have Waggy/Howard/Fryatt as the main striker I think we could score alot of goals!

Seen it a few times, looks a bit harsh to me. But since you state it as a fact that you are right and I'm not I suppose I'll just adhere to your opinion.

Booking seemed reasonable to me.

That said, it's the least of our concerns. I doubt it had too much to do with the end result.

I'm just saying that I believe the ref applied the rules. Where did I state that it was a fact that I was right? I saw what I saw and I can only express an opinion on it, just as you can. I can understand anybody believing the decision was harsh/unlucky etc.

I think it's noteworthy though that the club have decided not to appeal it, presumably because of the chance of having the penalty doubled.

conrad did good but weale seems to organise the delfence better

Ignoring the utter lack of skilled English in here, I have to say I wonder if this is the case. Logan is a good shot stopper from what we've seen, and seems stronge-moraled i.e. still making saves at 4-0 down or whatever it was at the time, but is Weale essential to our defence? Can he see things Logan cannot?

Ikeme certainly couldn't. I'm not so sure Logan has fantastic control of the defence.

Like him as a keeper and a prospect though- always have.

Ignoring it by highlighting the mistakes, then making it the first thing you mention?

every other team comes back from a thrashing with a decent win....I wonder if we've got big enough bollocks

Whilst I think logan is a good shot stopper, I do wonder if he is flawed when it comes to decision making i.e. coming to collect a cross rather than allowing the defence to deal with it. I wonder if this may have been the case on the fifth goal vs pompy. Whilst the defence made a complete balls up, I think a decent keeper would have read the cross and dealt with it comfortably.

I want us to win 5-0 and sousa to turn this debacle around. Unfortunately I think there is little chance of this.
