Hi guys...Norwich fan here...just thought I'd be nice and let you know that along the A47 onroute to Norwich, between Swaffham and Dereham there is some roadworks which may cause some delays on your way. Also after 9pm this stretch of road becomes CLOSED. Just thinking you may want to look up an alternative route home before leaving or even travelling by train instead as I hear the diversion is something like an extra 40miles out of the way.

Hope I have helped some of you out by warning you and I look forward to seeing you at Carrow Road

Nicked from foxestalk, could be important to those of you driving, though i imagine Boc has discussed it already!!

Fair do's, i'd still probably go A47, i like that road. I love seeing the turnip and manglewurzle fields.....

A couple of resonable priced B&Bs

http://www.wedgewoodhouse.co.uk/Tariff.htm

on St Stephens road around 1/2 mile from the ground

or Malborough House on Stacey Road near the station.

Not stayed at either but they are in this years Norwich tourist guide.

Stayed at Wedgewood House - clean, tidy and very friendly - good breakfast, although I did complain when the butter was served in yellow and green wrappers; most insensitive in the light of my previous evening's experience! It's a good bit more than ½ mile from the ground though, unless you're a crow (or a canary?), but there was a well-placed fish and chip shop for the walk back.

Did you get to the Fat Cat then Real?

No, popped in The Coach and Horses ( the brewery tap of the Chalk Hill Brewery ) at opening, and stayed there until I had to catch my train. A really good friendly pub that did a lovely pint of mild.

Surely that is a contradiction

We nipped into a Chinese after the match, the food was great.

Just thought I'd let you all know :icon_wink
