It's definitely much easier to get into universities these days.

There's no way the standard of English shown by many current university students would have been tolerated 20 years ago. It's probably due to the way English is taught these days, kids don't seem to be told when they get things wrong.

That's because those who should be telling them are scared of being stabbed or shot if they do! :icon_sad: Maybe a slight exaggeration but you know what i mean.

think its more to do with not hurting kids feelings, people can be have dyslexia or whatever so don't want to push such things....

I don't read books, haven't since 6th form, just don't feel comfortable doing so as I'm not good at it, figures are a piece of piss for me though - without that comfort I'd probably be sweeping up streets and emptying bins
