Was thinking earlier about how rare City England internationals were. Floodgates really have opened in recent years.

Harvey Barnes (2020), 1 cap
James Maddison (2019), 1 Cap
Ben Chilwell (2018-2019), 11 Caps
Harry Maguire (2017-2019), 20 Caps
Danny Drinkwater (2016), 3 Caps
Jamie Vardy (2015-2018), 26 Caps
Ian Walker (2004), 1 Cap
Steve Guppy (1999), 1 Cap
Emile Heskey (1999-2000), 5 Caps
Gary Lineker (1984-1985), 4 Caps

It’s great. Long may it continue. Though I’m not sure we have many prospects for England beyond Barnes, and possibly Maddison.

Just think of all the talent they missed out on between 2004 and 2015. The once-great reputation of the Three Lions, forever tarnished by their failure to recognise the true quality of Jason Jarrett, Jamie Clapham and Darren Kenton.

The one thing I enjoyed the most was seeing his arms flailing all over the place whenever he moved at speeds quicker than a walk.

It's quite hilarious

I can’t be arsed to search for it but I bet at least one person on here called for Fryatt to get a call up at some point.

The England shirt is a bit shit. Those are my only observations on the internationals.

Castagne and Tielemans start

Playing Trippier on the left FFS, and Rice and Henderson in the middle

What a load of complete shit

absolutely dreadful.

I count 2 and a half players that can compete at the top level:

Alexander Arnold (who has been really poor by his standards this season)

Henderson (limited but fully deserves his role)

Rashford (jury still out on whether he is top level)
The rest... Dier? Walker? Rice? Mount? Maguire? An out of position Trippier?

I’ll be more interested in Belgium today, though it’s good to see Calvert Lewin get a chance.
