How's this for a conspiracy theory? Megson wants to get back in football. Says to his agent,"Lee's job is rocky. You've got clout at Bolton. Can't you get me that job?"
His agent reminds him that for 18 months NOBODY has wanted him. Megson inveigles his way into the Leicester job by parroting back to Milan exactly what he wants to hear. Megson is now a "real" manager again and, when the inevitable happens at Bolton, their chairman is persuaded that the man reinvigorating Leicester is the one for the job.
Megson now says that he is unclear about his Leicester future and walks out on a point of principle. Bolton unveil their nemesis.

This reinvigorating - when did it happen? I must have missed it!!
