Olympics on TV

Watching the Women Volleyball team from GB against Algeria. Intense stuff. We should have won the first set but ended up losing it, Then we won the 2nd set which was the first set ever won by the women at Olympic level . They were leading at times in the 3rd set but they eventually lost it, Now in the 4th set which we need to win to take it to a 5th set. We are leading at the moment by 7 points and we need 2 more points to take this to the 5th set

It was Volleyball, not Beach Volleyball... the main difference is that there are more of them and they wear hotpants instead of knickers. But they're not as attractive. D'oh.

Eric Idle's bit was the best, loved it.

Wasn't overly impressed at first, but getting to Eric Idle, Queen (although Jessie J can **** right off) and The Who made up for it. Ed Sheeran did well covering Pink Floyd.

BBC's coverage throughout the Olympics was absolutely top, top notch. Brilliant. If only all sport could be presented that well! Hats off to the Beeb! Hope Channel 4 can get somewhere close with their Paralympics coverage, although presumably they have a much smaller budget.
