My actual beginning. 4th September 1976. My very first football match. He scored the first City goal I ever saw in the flesh in a 1-1 draw with Everton. Thus beginning 27 years of mostly disappointment,frustration & anguish until one night at Hillsborough.

1000 years ago...& a fortnight ago, all at once. I've still got the programme.

So we've now had an entire year of unusually vague comments from our manager about a knee injury and occasional pictures from his rare appearances at the training ground cycling or eating in the canteen.

Meanwhile, Bertrand continues to work with Rodgers Jnr (Anton) at First Access Sports football agency. He also runs an investment company and is studying at Harvard Business School.

All whilst pocketing approximately £78k a week from us. That's just over £4m since he last played.

Truly a Rodgers/Rodgers Jnr/Congerton special deal.
