I think that goal is the epitome of everything that JV has done for us over the years. I too could watch that goal forever, up there with the megs through DeGea’s legs for “it’s eleven, it’s heaven”

Should have been goal of the season IMO. Watching that season back always brings joy. A lot of the play and goals disprove how the ESL lots fans and media portrayed us as a side.

Likewise, had a picture on my Facebook account which I’ve since deleted of me and my mates applauding the players. I found one of my dad’s old shirts in the loft and wore it to the game, the blue one with thin white stripes but without the Coope sponsorship on it. (So I’m guessing 1980?)

I found it again recently after moving house and it turns out I’m roughly twice as wide as I was when I was 17.

Fairly sure the awful Astrit Ajdarevic came on in that game.
