I'm talking about strikers here. When we have DJ back to full fitness, the strikers we have will be Campbell, Fryatt, Howard, Hume, Hayles, which means in my view that another striker will be leaving us. I have it on good authority that DJ isn't likely to be the one who will be on his way-which means i wouldn't be surprised if fryatt were to leave during the January window. Maybe i'm wrong and Ollie will want to have 5 strikers-but i think he would much rather have 4, and with Hume pissed off on playing on the wing, and starting yesterday ahead of fryatt, i think hes more likely to stay.

My guess is that if one leaves it will be the one whose valuation is met,it might be both Fryatt and Hume.

I still believe that Ollie will be looking for an out and out goalscorer somebody capable of playing off Howard and banging in 20 or so goals a season and IMO at present none of the current batch are capable of this, would not be surprised to see at least one maybe even two of Fryatt, Campbell and Hume moved on if buyers can be found.

I agree with that but I personally would keep Fryatt.

You and all...it was one game

I'm not getting carried away with one performance, but if the team continues to play like it did yesterday it would be stupid to sell any of the starting eleven. Hume hasn't been singled out as one of our top players yesterday, but he had one of his best games in a long time, and I think he could have a good partnership with Howard. Why talk about selling him now when we might be about to see what he can do when he gets some service?

I didn't say I wanted to sell him,the question was who do you think might be sold.IF Everton come in for Hume he will be gone and I wouldn't blame him. There is no way that Howard,Hayles,Fryatt,Hume And Campbell are all going to stay, one or even two of them are going to get tired of sitting on the bench (if that) week in week out

But that will be more likely down to Hume wanting to go, not because the manager wants to sell him.

And what about the other part? You think that out of the three left out two of them will be happy ?

I don't think IH will be keen to sell first team players after the things he said about Plymouth, unless he's got a better replacement lined up.

Howard,Hume,Campbell,Fryatt and Hume are all considered first team players,do you honestly think IH will be able to hold on to them all ?

No. But the solution to that isn't to sell your first choice strikers, which is what Hume is at the moment. If you're going to get rid, get rid of the ones who aren't in the team.
We should be keeping our best players, the reason to let them go would be either if they want to leave and keeping them would harm team spirit, or because we receive an offer we can't refuse and the manager thinks he can improve the team with the money.
We shouldn't be selling our first choice players just because the squad is too big.

But the question isn't that.I'd like to keep hold of all five of them but do you seriously think Campbell and Fryatt are going to be happy with a place on the bench at best.Someone or two are going to grow restless and want to leave.

We have two Humes? :icon_conf

Hume and Howard started yesterday, so they are our current first choice strikers. So do you really think he'd sell Hume just because Fryatt might be unhappy?

We shouldn't be under pressure to sell our best players, so IH should be given time to assess the best partnership before deciding who is surplus to requirements.
