Are we in a situation similar to the one at Spurs, where they have Berbatov, Keane, Defoe and Bent?

It seems to me like we'll have Howard starting as the big-man, and then a rotation between Hume, Campbell and Fryatt, with Hayles coming on late in the game with fresh legs like he did yesterday. This way, there's always the option to put Hume on the wing if needs be (injuries, suspensions, etc.) and always have cover.

This should ultimately see the departure of De Vries and Hammond, but would this be a bad thing? Dirty Leeds seem quite keen on De Vries, and i'm sure Holloway would be willing to let go of Hammond.

Maybe. Or maybe Not...

i wouldnt be heart broken if fryatt left. he's worked on the physical side of his game alot but he has forgotton how to score goals. And i'm not saying that hume is by any means our best player just cause he had a good game yesterday, but i can see a hume/howard partenership blossoming.

But I'm not saying that.:102:Don't you think DF that one oe even two out of the five will want to go?

It wasnt aimed at you really, just my opinion. I think Hammond and de Vries are gonners. Realistically I would think Hayles is a player to come off the bench, so that leaves 3 players fighting to play with Howard - which is healthy. In truth though I can't see campbell hanging around if its not him.

He as happy on the bench at Brum.

Thankyou and yes I'm being sincere.

So having agreed to the idea that one Striker will more than likely be leaving the Club because he won't be happy at being a bit-part player which one do you think it might be?

I think IH will want to have a look at Campbell, and try different combinations before deciding who he's prepared to let go, so he might want to wait until the summer before selling someone.
If MM is putting him under pressure to sell someone and the rumours about Wolves wanting Fryatt are true, I think that is the most likely transfer to happen.
Fryatt didn't even get off the bench yesterday and when Campbell is fit Fryatt could be 5th choice striker, so he would be the most obvious one to go.

Didn't hurt did it ?

Personally I'd be getting rid of anyone who doesn't get results on the pitch. That should be the main criteria for deciding who goes and who stays. If players aren't happy being on the bench then get rid of them. It's not all about the XI, it's about the squad. We have Howard, Hayles, Hume, Campbell, John, Fryatt, Chambers, Sappleton, De Vries, Hammond, Odhiambo, Dodds, plus all the reserve and junior strikers. Way too many strikers in my opinion. Somebody will have to get it sorted. :102:

It didn't start until this afternoon :018:

And I'm going soon, I have a birthday party to go to.

Bet your the life and soul.Arguing about how many candles there should be on the cake or whats in the sarnies

John is on his way back to Fulham soon, and De Vries and hammond are out of contract at the end of this season, i think. Chambers and co are the reserves and juniors. If one is going to be sold i think it will be fryatt simple because he is slower than the Hume and DJ and doesnt score that many goals even when playing well.
