After the last few performances, how long will he be prepared to wait?

I think it's clear that Mandaric can't get anyone to work at city because he can't get anyone prepared to work with him. He needs to move himself out of the way. There are plenty of club owners who don't interfere with the playing side, they employ directors to do that job, and they get the right people- it's more important than the manager in many ways. Sadly, the great man's ego gets in the way of him doing this, it cost him at Portsmouth when he was picking bad manager after bad manager before lucking out on Redknapp, and it nearly cost him again when his behaviour caused Redknapp to walk out.

If he's not prepared to take his hands off the rudder, he needs to sell up, as he will never get a return on his investment while he treats the club (and us) as a toy.

Clearly, there is a serious issue at the club - and Mandaric has probably turned out to be both a solution and a problem all rolled into one.

However, I think it's totally unrealistic to expect him to "take his hands off the rudder" as you put it, because the precise reason he is in football is because he wants to call the shots.

This juncture now is critical. To get any sort of decent manager in, he is going to have to shell out serious money in recognition that the manager's job at Leicester - once seen as an excellent staging post for future managers of top clubs - is now the poisoned challice.

He started by talking nonsense about if he doesn't get it right, he will carry on hiring and firing until he does. Unfortunately, that is not working and it will not work because prospective managers (and certainly not Paul Jewell) will not buy into that scenario - as we are already seeing.

As I have said on another thread my fear is that he will shortly get fed up with all this - cut his losses - and walk away, leaving the club in a very deep hole.

Been discussing the situation at Cardiff with a fan there today he said about Jones

" You don’t become a bad manager overnight and he’s a good one. It’s the players unfortunately letting him down at the minute, people like Darren Purse, Tony Capaldi, Stephen McPhail, Hasselbaink, Fowler. I would sack those not the manager. Martin Allen got it spot on when he told Hasselbaink he wanted him on a trial basis first."
