Has anyone said Kenny Jackett yet ?

Or Dave Jones ?

Can't be long until they do

Thread of the year, this

To be fair, it does help to give credibility to Holloway's suggestion!

Oh no, wait...

The desperation of the names banded around in this thread are truly pitiful.
It's frightening is what it is. David ****ing Platt.

You would have to ask Kenny Jackett.

I would like Pearson to stay for one more season, but if he is forced out the door, I hope not O'Neill or De Matteo.
Lennon, explayer and all that but.....
Powell, doing well at Charlton, but ......

3 names I'd throw in the ring, all in work, McCarthy, Terry Butcher and Stuart McCall (if he doesn't get the Everton job).

My first choice though, is still Pearson.

Copes well (or his team do) under pressure of expectations.

That's like me being pitted in a drinking race against a group of five year olds and not buckling under the pressure.

Won the league when Rangers were in situ.

Myself, you and a group of five year olds.

i have given you 3 reasons, show me yours?

I don't have any reasons at all as to why he should even be a consideration

Based on the fact he is a better manager than the current incumbent.

Don't think that there is any chance that either Lennon or MON would take the job.

If either would - then do it now.

Pearson is a reasonable representation of the second rate manager brigade. Only those who have low aspirations for the club wouldn't want to break the mould of recurring disappointment.

True, he has collected together a nucleus of promising young player - but in the present day this will definitely not bring promotion. All that happens is that once a really talented young player emerges - the vultures of the Premier League will snatch him away.

Whelan of Wigan is right - in the real world you need to get out of the Championship real fast. We need a manager who can lift the club (players and supporters and all). Pearson is quite incapable of doing that.

When you click on quote, you'll see the code that makes the start and end of the quoted text. You can copy and paste the start and end codes, and any text, to make your own quoted section.
