Hypothesis noted, but surely nobody encouraged them to film themselves racially abusing said women and send it to their mates.
Certainly not. & I imagine NP was mortified by that as much as any of us would be if it was any of our kids. Likely a very emotional experience for the bloke. To then have it compounded by a chorus of tut tutting from the very people who provided the opportunity though must have inflamed him more than somewhat. I have to say I have some sympathy with him. None whatsoever for his freeloading wanker of a son though. Kidderminster is the best place for him.
I guess it must be a generational thing but to me the very idea of anyone else watching me engaged in a sexual act would be anathema. I grew up in an age where privacy was valued & attempts at surveillance were regarded as analogous to Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia. I'm growing old in an age where surveillance is everywhere, is actively requested by a pant shitting fearful public & if unavailable they provide their own!! No need to watch people when they post every second of their lives on social media anyway, as if it didn't really happen unless everyone in the sodding world saw it.

Nope. But it's probably wise that the owners put it behind them.

Consider:

Hands up who thinks that members of a Premier League football squad, in the city as honoured guests of very rich & important men, went around the shitholes of Bangkok on their own looking for girls? Unlikely isn't it?

Therefore...who procured them & got them to the hotel? I seem to remember the hotel in question is/was owned by King Power.

Ever been to SE Asia? Any clues as to some of their more...er...clandestine business practices?

Prostitutes are routinely supplied as entertainment to ' honoured guests '

Every major business in the region has some bloke who's task it is to provide said entertainment. Great pains are taken to ensure that nobody at board level has any idea who that bloke is. But they all know who to call to get them to call somebody else who will then call the bloke in question.

Pearson probably knew well enough where those girls came from.So from his perspective watching the moral high ground being taken over his sons behaviour presumably rankled more than a touch. I've always thought that was the most likely "difference in perspective"

Someone mentioned hypocrisy earlier in this thread.

Spot on. But it started a long time ago.

It's not unlikely that they went out on their own at all. They were completely unknown youth team players half way around the world in one of the world's biggest and most vibrant cities. They weren't under lock and key, and not a soul would have recognised them nor cared if they had. The king power branded hotel is centrally located, within a tuk tuk ride of whatever sort of nightlife you want.

Put yourself in their position and of course they'd have wanted to go out and sample the nightlife on their own, and it seems obvious to me that's what happened. Certainly more likely than the idea of billionaires Vichai and Top - father and son let's not forget - personally running some sort of clandestine prostitution operation. I think you've been watching a few too many movies mate.

Regardless, it's not the whoring they were fired for, it was the racist abuse.

Yup. If a bunch of young rich twats go to Thailand then one way or another there's a high chance they're going to get rimmed by a hooker. It could've been paid for by work but I'm sure they had enough travellers cheques left in their pocket to sort themselves out.

You didn't read very carefully.

I made it clear that most companies in the region have this sort of hospitality in place. I also made it clear that great care is taken to ensure there is absolutely no provable connection between it & anyone at executive level. That way there is always plausible deniability in case of scandal & a fall guy properly in place.I'm not trying to make out Vichai & Top are Bond villains running a Bangkok knocking shop! This is just all a part of SE Asian business culture. If Berlusconi had started in Thailand or Cambodia he'd still be flogging veg off a cart due to not being corrupt enough.

As for the racist abuse...well,yes & no really. If the fateful comments had never been uttered they'd probably still have been sacked.

I don't give a **** what his son did.

Threatening people and telling supporters to **** off and die are both things the owners never facilitated through some 3rd part insult provisions man.

Agree to disagree then. Having spent a bit of time out there working, in my experience what you're describing isn't the norm. I'm sure it happens, but I don't think it's ubiquitous, and I can't see a family business like KP being involved.

In the unlikely event that Vichai was supplying sex workers to the players, i'd have thought high class escorts would have been the order of the day. The women in the video were - for want of a better word - 'cheap' brothel workers who came from the poor north eastern part of Thailand, which is why the whole thing didn't cause that much of a storm in Thailand at the time - because those women are viewed locally as 2nd class citizens anyway. They're exactly the type of women the players would have found had they headed off in search of entertainment by themselves and ended up in some low rent tourist slum. Thailand, and especially Bangkok, has a very class conscious society. No respectable local, never mind a billionaire local would be seen dead anywhere near that sort of place or with those type of women.

OH Leuven won 2-0 today.

Stop the pissing around Top, get him in.

Oh please. He's not as good in the top division as you and many deluded mortals think he is.
We finished 14th under him. I’d take that now.

Cambiasso who was not too popular with the players.

That's a good thing. The last thing we need when Shakespeare goes is to replace him with someone friendly with the clique.
Yes this clique thing helps ensure the exclusion of new players (who commonly experience injury issues/ lack of PL fitness levels); the inclusion of great guys like Andy King whose only slight limitation is that they can't actually play at this level; the appointment of a' manager', with no managerial experience, who is conducting a one man campaign to preserve 4-4-2 in the English Premier League.
