Pearson

On Foxestalk they have a couple of threads on potential new managers....

One for Pearson

and one for Ancelotti

Here's another name for us to consider....

Sean Dyche

At the end of the day, it does not matter who we think would be a good manager for us.

The owners will always have a slightly different agenda. They have publicly stated that they just want a manager who can win games.

Well they could have had Big Sam if that was their main criterion.

I suspect that for global reasons Ancelotti would be ahead of the likes of Dyche, Pearson or Koeman.

What frustrates me was that for the first 6-10 games last year, Shakey was able to work the magic. Essentially he still has the same squad but the squad have gone to sleep again!

I also fear that we may not attract a 'name' manager because of the nature of the way Ranieri was dismissed, in an airport lounge without dignity.

Can't see what Pearson would add at the moment. If Craig can't get the players motivated then I doubt Nigel would be able to either. Unless the 5 central midfielder diamond is what's needed to break us out of our current funk then I don't think Pearson is the man to lead a tactical revolution either. So it would seem a bit of a pointless, backwards appointment to me.

We need fresh blood, someone with the gravitas to be able to spark a bit of life into our best players and someone who our promising young cohort will look up to and respect. No idea who fits the bill who we could get, but I know Pearson isn't the man. He's found his level with the semi-professional club he's at now.

Can we please stop this talk about Pearson and the managers job, im trying to enjoy my Sunday evening.

It's one thing moaning about Shakespeare needing to go; I mean, I don't agree with it at the moment but I do understand it...

...But championing Pearson for the job?! I mean, Pearson?! What an embarrassment to the club that man became. To swap CS for NP would be the single most stupid decision in football since someone at Palace said 'Roy will get us playing good football'.

Can we stop the Pearson speculation here and now please. I'm worried if we discuss it further it could make it happen.

I reckon he'll be back I charge for the Spurs game at the end of November.

I don't find it particularly odd that people would argue for Pearson from a business point of view (even though I disagree with that too). I'm sure he would do a relatively decent job here and at any rate be an improvement on Shakespeare. I'm also pretty sure that the owners have considered it and I don't fault them for that. What I find gobsmacking is that people would advocate bringing Pearson back and still find supporting a football club meaningful. I respect that there are many different ways of following football but to me it would finally break the illusion of football as anything else than circular nonsense.

Just stop it

There's more chance of Ancelotti being the next manager than that nutcase, appointed at the same time that I'm smoking a big fat doobie while that Kelly Brook gives me a nice STW

And that's soap, not sand, in case you were wondering

I remember listening to an interview with Shakespeare when he and Pearson returned to the club after Sven left. He said that the squad was very unbalanced and that there was no plan B...

Yeah mega embarrassing leaving us in a better position than he found us, whilst building the foundations that led to our title.

Letting Shakespeare manage another game would be a much more stupid decision.

The one reason I can't see this happening is that he has only just been appointed manager of another club. Yes, we share owners, but it would massively undermine their integrity and how seriously they were taking the running of that club if they were to remove him almost immediately to appoint him here. I imagine the Belgian fans would be ****ing furious!

Maybe at some point in the future, but not now....
