I'm not keen on the Pearson appointment and don't think it was a great move forward for the club BUT I wouldn't call for his head. That would just cause more upheaval and disarray. I do think he has shown his limitations by refusing to even experiment with the midfield and think he should be explaining this tonight. I'd also be extremely disappointed if we make certain acquisitions and recalls in January but I'll give him the rest of the season and a summer to rebuild a squad (although I hope it's not the case of rebuilding a squad we had several seasons ago)

Really? It's not like you've said anything about it before now? :icon_wink

The only thing bothering me about the NP appointment is that he is being very stubborn with his team selection.

I can not understand how a player of Fernandes's quality can't get into the side.

Because our midfield played well in his first 3 games, in fact I remember many saying just how much improved Wellens, Gallagher and King looked since he came back and it's difficult to judge the Hull performance when we held on so well with 10 men for the majority of the game.

It's only really the last 2 games since he's been here when they've shown they need dropping (we've seen how mediocre they've been for largely the last 12 months before that and NP hasn't) and what he's said in the press it seems he's ready to change the personnel.

I reckon he'll bring Fernandes and Johnson in for the boxing day game, we'll scrape a victory, both will have decent games and all of a sudden some will be making out Fernandes and Johnson are season changing players.

Because the disconnect between club and support has been stretched over the last six years to the point whereby fans feel they are nothing more than a revenue stream.

Lies, price rises, broken promises and gutless performances coupled with frequent changes of incompetent managers lead to emotional cut-off. This fails to factor in the wholesale hatred of other supporters who display ignorance like a fashion brand: amplified by their ****ed-up belief that we should walk the Champions League because we are owned by a pair of foreign shopkeepers.

If they feel that way why do they still attend?

I hope he makes at least one change, with either of Fernandes, Johnson or Abe coming in for Wellens/King. Something has to change to shake it up and this is the only area where he really has the chance to do it.

I agree, but I also don't think Johnson, Fernandes or Abe are any better and don't think they are the answer long or medium term.

The second bit about the only place we can shake it up just hints that the strength in depth we've been fed with is rubbish. I don't think having Michael Ball, Steve Howard and Sean St. Ledger as your replacements really indicates strength in depth.

We'll see though, but I do expect us to make changes and I do expect us to win on boxing day.

This, with Christmas Balls on...

Have you seen Dawn of the Dead?

Apparently all of the zombies were drawn to the shopping centre because of a dim link with their former life.

Having carried out an exhaustive survey of all those effected by this I am led to believe something similar afflicts them. With counselling and the love of a good woman they usually make it through this period successfully and normally end up watching non-league or ****ing one of the Krankies.

Does mong stand for Martin O'Neill is God?

It appears to me we've spent £5 million on the original divorce with the ugly 1st wife (Pearson spend on players), found a right goer and given her £10 million to spend in Chanel, woke up one morning and realised the stupid bitch has spent most of the money in Ratners, divorced her. Paid her a couple of million in compo...then **** me we've gone back and started poking the 1st wife again.

Pretty much sums it up for me, particularly the reaction of the majority of our fans.
